Watch Out For Those Witches!

Here's a snapshot of some Scrabble Tiles, paired up for earrings. This batch has wet resin on them. Tomorrow I'll be turning them into earrings at Bird On a Wire from 11am to 4pm!

A Visit to Salmagundi West...and Updated Calendar of Events!

This week I paid a visit to one of my all time favourite stores in Vancouver: Salmagundi West (321 West Cordova Street) - "A collection of interesting things". Sadly, the proprietress, Lynn Brown passed away recently, but the store will live on in the fine hands of Anne!
I bought this wooden crow, which I plan on having on display at my craft fair tables!
I also bought this glittery owl to add to my Halloween decor.
Anyone who knows me, knows I can't resist old photo's!! These will probably be made into Valentine's cards down the road.
Last weekend I had a booth alongside some "Portobello" vendors at the Vancouver Home and Design show. Here's some blurry snapshots of my space (taken with instagram).
I ***finally*** updated my calendar of events to show all of my winter shows/fairs that I'll be at this year!! Click on the link up above...

Great Halloween Costumes

We're back to "normal" here in Vancouver. It's been just over a week since our vacation to Hawaii and it's taken a while to get back into the swing of things.

Halloween is a big topic in our house these days....if my kids were (much) smaller, I'd totally do this:

I also LOVE these sugar skull costumes:

Since I've been back, I've been working hard on making stock for the upcoming Winter shows! These necklaces need just a little bit more work.
Lots of late nights around here!

Snapshots of Halloween 2010

The big day has come and gone *poof* just like that! We have so much candy in our house, it's ridiculous - we need some help eating it!

See the pink glitter dots around my daughters eyes? (just like one of her mermaid barbies). I thought I was the "clever crafty" genius, by adding pink craft glitter to clear body glitter gel. It looked GREAT, but when it came time to wash it off, we found out that the pink colour from the craft glitter had seeped into her pores, and no amount of scrubbing, or vaseline, or eye make-up remover could remove the pink stained dots on her face! There's still traces now, and it's been 3 days!

Here's some party decorations at a little friend's Halloween party:
A ghoulish band was playing on the porch of this house along the "Parade of Lost Souls" route:
One of my favourite pumpkins from last night:

At the end of the night, there was a big neighbourhood fireworks party. It all started off with some sparklers for the kids:
The "works" lined up:
These dads killed me. They were looking at each other saying "you've done this before right?"...."no, I thought you've done it"..."No, I have no idea what I'm doing"....."Neither do I".....
